In 1996, I got a packet of letters from a grade 2 in Sasketchewan. This was one of them. It said:
Dear Robert Munsch,
I have a playhouse that my Daddy made. I like helping daddy with the cows in the Summer time. I open the gate for Dad and help to feed the grains and minerals. Grama and Grampa had a new baby colt.

I liked the letter and I liked the picture of the playhouse. I figured that Rene must have a nice Dad to have him build such a nice playhouse. I wrote Rene a “letter story” about how she asked her dad for a playhouse.
