[When a class writes me I use some of their names in and unpublished story. This year (2000-2001) the story I used was CRASH. Here is how one class illustrated the story.]

On the day the school was being fixed, Anita came very early to see what was happening. There were some big piles of bricks beside the school. Anita looked all around. There were no teachers, no hard hat people, no anybody: just bricks.
“Great”, said Anita, “I am going to play before anybody comes. I figure I have about 5 minutes before a teacher shows up.”
