Dear Robert Munsch,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am so sorry to hear of some of your health struggles. I have been writing to you for well over twenty years, and with this letter I want you to know a few things that I have seen in my classroom when I use and share your amazing stories:
I have seen nonreaders become readers.
I have seen non writers become writers and have the courage to tell me that they are now authors.
I have seen grumpy children turn into happy children.
I have seen sad children turn into smiling children.
I have seen the immense joy your books spark when it is story time.
Simply put, I have seen children thrive.
Thank you for sharing your incredibly wonderful stories! You are absolutely an inspiration to myself and the children that I teach. You truly are a shining star. I wish you and your family well, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Sincerely,
Tracy Yamabe
